Belize

Our trainings take place at our Belize location in the Los Lagos Community near Belize City. This central location offers an opportunity to travel to different areas of the country, both inland and coastal.

The country of Belize lies on the Caribbean coast of Central America. Belize is bordered by Mexico to the north, by Guatemala to the west and by Honduras to the south. It is home to the world’s second largest barrier reef and has over 400 cayes or small islands. The mainland is known for its beautiful rain forest and savanna areas with amazing flora and fauna, its Maya heritage and its cultural diversity.

Belize was granted independence from Great Britain in 1981 and was formerly known as British Honduras up until 1973. English is the official language of Belize with both Belizean Creole and Spanish widely spoken.

Free-time activities include world-class snorkeling, visits to Maya archaeological sites, a tour of the Belize Zoo, and trips to various nature reserves. Deep sea fishing, scuba diving, and rafting through a network of caves can all be organized for the more outgoing.
